Confession

What is Confession?

The Sacrament of Reconciliation, perhaps better known as Confession, is our chance to break down the barriers between us and God, that get in the way when we don’t quite live our lives as we should.

The Parable of the Lost Son (Luke 15:11) teaches us that God is always ready to forgive us our sins, no matter what has happened, no matter how big or how small.

Jesus is present when we make a Confession, from the moment we start to think about our sins and failings, alongside us as we tell God about them, and in our hearts as the Priest forgives us our sins, giving us the grace and the healing we need.

How do I book a confession?

Confession takes place at St Teilo's, at the Confessional, close to the font - the place where sins are forgiven in the waters of baptism.

To book a confession, simply contact us to arrange a suitable time. Be sure to tell the priest if this is your first confession so he can prepare you. There are some resources on the left that are helpful.
